Deeksharambh Orientation Tour To Science City 2025

Introduction:
As part of our Deeksharambh Orientation Program 2025 to enhance the learning experience for BCA students, a
faculty-led educational visit was organized to Science City in Ahmedabad. The primary objective of
this visit was to provide students with a hands-on experience that would complement their
theoretical knowledge in computer science, technology, and related fields. The tour aimed to expose
them to the latest advancements in scientific research, technological innovations, and interactive
exhibits that align with their academic curriculum.
Science City Ahmedabad, known for its cutting-edge displays in various scientific disciplines, offered
our students a unique opportunity to explore and engage with concepts in robotics, artificial
intelligence, virtual reality, and environmental science. The visit was designed to foster critical
thinking, enhance problem-solving skills, and inspire creativity, helping students connect classroom
learning with real-world applications.
Key Highlights:
1. Introduction to Robotics:
• The gallery provided an introduction to the field of robotics, showcasing the
evolution of robots and their increasing role in various industries.
2. Types of Robots:
• The exhibit displayed various types of robots including industrial robots, service
robots, humanoid robots, and educational robots.
• Students had the opportunity to interact with robots performing tasks like
assembling objects, performing calculations, and more.
3. Robotics in Different Sectors:
• The gallery demonstrated the applications of robotics in sectors such as healthcare,
manufacturing, and space exploration.
• Real-world examples of robotic systems being used in hospitals for surgery or in
factories for automation were highlighted.
4. Interactive Demonstrations:
• Students could engage with robots through live demonstrations, learning about the
mechanisms that power these machines.
• Interactive displays explained the working principles of robots, including sensors,
actuators, and AI algorithms.
5. Future of Robotics:
• The exhibit also explored the future potential of robotics, such as the role of
artificial intelligence in creating smarter robots and how robotics might transform
everyday life.
6. Diversity of fish species:
 The Aquatic Gallery showcased a wide variety of fish species from different aquatic
regions across the world, emphasizing the richness of aquatic biodiversity.
 Fish from freshwater as well as marine environments were displayed, giving students
a comprehensive understanding of aquatic life.
7. Fish from Different Regions:
 The gallery featured fish from rivers, lakes, and oceanic regions of various
continents, including:
 Indian Subcontinent: Local species like the Rohu and Catla, which are important to
the ecosystem and the fishing industry.
 Amazon River (South America): Exotic fish species such as Arapaima and Piranhas
that thrive in freshwater habitats.
 African Waters: Species like the Nile Tilapia and various cichlids, showing the
diversity of Africa’s freshwater ecosystems.
 Pacific and Atlantic Oceans: The marine fish section displayed species like Clownfish,
Anglerfish, and Parrotfish that are unique to oceanic ecosystems.
8. Different Aquatic Habitats:
 The fish were arranged according to their natural habitats, such as riverine
(freshwater), oceanic (marine), and wetland ecosystems, each with specific
conditions and species suited to those environments.
 Students could learn about the differences in water salinity, temperature, and
vegetation in these habitats and how fish have adapted to survive.
Participation of HAHE Students:
The participation of our BCA students in the educational visit to the Robotics Gallery and
Aquatic Gallery at Science City Ahmedabad was highly engaging and informative. Our students
actively participated in various aspects of the tour, which enhanced their learning experience and
encouraged interactive involvement.
