DEEKSHARAMBH Orientation

Objective of the Program:
The orientation program was organized with the goal of warmly welcoming the new batch of BCA
students and familiarizing them with the institutional culture, faculty, infrastructure, and the
academic journey ahead. The session aimed to ignite motivation, build enthusiasm, and ensure a
smooth transition for students into college life.
Program Schedule and Highlights
1. GTU Anthem
The session was started with the GTU (Gujarat Technological University) Anthem. This moment
reinforced students’ pride in being part of GTU and highlighted the university’s core values, mission,
and legacy.
2. Registration and Welcome (9:30 A.M. onwards)
The day began with the registration of students, during which welcome kits were distributed. As part
of a traditional and cultural touch, students were welcomed with Kumkum Tilak, creating a warm
and positive first impression.
3. Inaugural Ceremony (10:00 A.M.)
The program officially commenced with the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of
ignorance and the embrace of knowledge. The ceremony was graced by the presence of:

• Prof. Sanjay Sir
• Ms. Smita Ma’am
4. Welcome Address & Institutional Vision (10:20 A.M.)
Prof. Ruchika Vyas addressed the gathering, extending a warm welcome to the new students. She
provided insights into the institution’s vision, values, academic philosophy, and the holistic
development opportunities offered.
5. Motivational Speech & University Introduction (10:50 A.M.)
Dr. Jay Patel Sir delivered an engaging motivational session. His talk introduced students to the
university system and emphasized the importance of self-discipline, active learning, and
perseverance throughout their academic journey.
6. Refreshment Break (12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M.)
A one-hour break was provided during which refreshments were served, giving students an
opportunity to relax, interact with peers, and familiarize themselves with the campus environment.
7. Faculty Introduction (1:00 P.M.)
The faculty members from the BCA department were introduced. Detail about each faculty member
briefly described like their area of expertise and their role in the students’ academic life, helping to
establish a connection with the newcomers.
8. Zumba Session (1:30 P.M.)
To energize and engage the students physically and mentally, a Zumba session was conducted by Ms.
Suhani. The fun and interactive session was thoroughly enjoyed by the students, breaking the
monotony and enhancing their enthusiasm.
9. National Anthem (2:30 P.M.)
The day ended with the singing of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and unity among
the students.

10. Yoga & Breathing Techniques (9:30 AM onwards)
Resource Person: Ms. Kanwaljeet Sandhu
The day commenced with a refreshing yoga session lead by Ms. Kanwaljeet Sandhu. She guided the
students through simple yoga postures and breathing techniques aimed at enhancing mental focus
and physical well-being. The session helped students start the day with calmness and positivity.
11. Stress Management Session (11 AM)
Speaker: Ms. Smita Patel
Ms. Smita Patel conducted an insightful session on stress management. She discussed common
stress factors faced by students and shared effective coping strategies. Through engaging activities
and examples, she encouraged students to build emotional resilience.
12. Lunch Break (01:00 PM)
A lunch break was provided, allowing participants to relax and interact informally. This time served as
a good opportunity for networking among peers.
13. Technical Session (02:00 PM)
Speaker: Prof. Devrajsinh
Prof. Devrajsinh conducted an informative technical session tailored for new BCA students. He
introduced the curriculum, key subjects, tools, and future prospects in the IT field. The session
helped students gain clarity about their academic path and career opportunities.
14. Vote of Thanks & National Anthem (03:30 PM)
The day concluded with a Vote of Thanks to all the speakers and participants. The program ended on
a patriotic note with the National Anthem.
